Tennis Star Wins First Grand Slam Title in Melbourne

In one of the biggest upsets in recent Grand Slam history, 21-year-old Elsa Björk defeated world number one Maria Santos 6-3, 7-5 in the Australian Open final on Saturday.

Björk, ranked 14th coming into the tournament, didn't drop a set throughout the fortnight. Her aggressive baseline game and fearless shot-making overwhelmed a visibly frustrated Santos.

"I've dreamed of this moment since I was six years old, hitting balls against my garage door," an emotional Björk told the crowd. "Today the dream came true."
