Researchers at the Royal Institute of Technology have announced a breakthrough in energy storage technology that could revolutionize the renewable energy sector.
The new solid-state battery can store solar energy for up to 30 days with minimal degradation, compared to the current standard of 2-3 days.
"This could be the missing piece in the transition to 100% renewable energy," said lead researcher Professor Erik Lindqvist.
