Community Garden Network Expands to 200 Plots

The municipality announced the opening of five new community garden sites, bringing the total to 200 individual growing plots available to residents.

Applications for the new plots exceeded capacity by 4-to-1, reflecting a trend of increased interest in urban farming since the pandemic.

"It's about much more than vegetables," said community organiser Nils Åström. "These gardens create friendships across age groups and cultures that wouldn't happen otherwise."
