All 34 municipal schools will serve exclusively organic meals starting this autumn, making the city the first in the country to do so.

Starting in August, every meal served in the city's 34 public schools will meet certified organic standards, a commitment that adds roughly 12 SEK per pupil per day to the catering budget.
The initiative is funded partly by a grant from the national food agency and partly by renegotiating supplier contracts to source directly from regional farms.
Nutritionist Saga Holm praised the move: "Children who eat well learn better. This isn't just an environmental policy — it's an education policy."
